Homemade Dog Biscuits

Want a treat that won't break the bank but that Fido will love? Try these awesome Homemade Dog Biscuits! Let me know what you and your pooch think about these tasty treats! All of our pet sitting clients think they're delicious!

3 cups whole wheat flour

¾ cup hot water

1 egg beaten

½ cup margarine

1 teaspoon salt

½ cup powdered milk

In a large bowl pour hot water over margarine. Stir in powdered milk, salt, and egg. Add flour slowly, stirring after each 1/2 cup added. Knead dough until it becomes stiff. Roll to a 1/2 inch thickness. Use bone shaped cookie cutter (or your shape of preference) to cut dough. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Let cool. They dry out hard and crunchy. Best of all they cost less than 35 cents per pound!
Yields 1 1/4 pounds.
