Jan Archer, Owner
Hi! My name is Jan Archer and I am the owner of The Sitter of Pawz. Throughout my life I have owned a wide variety of animals and they have all lived long, healthy lives. I have over 10 years experience with pet sitting all kinds of critters and have owned The Sitter of Pawz for the past 6 years.
My staff and I are firm believers in “the customer is always right” even if they are four legged, furry ones! My employees & I are committed to providing excellent care not only for your fur family but for you as well. We would love nothing more than to be considered part of your extended family.
Mary Kay and her husband moved to Keller in 1991, where they raised two daughters. Along the way, Mary Kay has loved and cared for goldfish, rats, gerbils, mice and numerous cats.
Her golden retriever, Finn joined the family in 2008, and is now the top dog along with KitKat, the orange tabby. Mary Kay believes the novelist Anatole France said it best: “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”
Tamara Merrill and her family have lived in Keller since 2014 from Austin, TX. Prior to being a pet sitter Tamara was an international flight attendant for 12 years, and showed horses competitively. She has 3 younger children and 3 wonderful pups (Yellow Lab, Shepard mix, Chi-mix) two are foster, “failures”, and two adopted kitties.
They are all a very loved, and maybe a bit spoiled. She has owned/cared for horses, dogs, cats, rats, turtles, snakes, rabbits, and birds. She has fostered pups and cats for the past 8 years and loves helping them all find their forever homes!
Cheryl moved back to Texas after a brief time in Florida in order to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. She has 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren that she adores and a 6 year old Collie/Shepard mix rescue named Chevy.
Prior to being a pet sitter, Cheryl was a Financial Analyst with Abbott Laboratories and retired after 25 years with the company. She has owned dogs her entire life and has a passion for animals and caring for them Cheryl hopes to add another Golden Retriever (or two!) to her family in the near future. During her spare time she loves playing with her grand kids and dog, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and international travel.
